WHY CONSERVATISM SUCKS RIGHT NOW
The problem with conservatism today is that it is so obsessed with limiting the size of government that it misses the opportunity it has. USAer want a certain level of government involvement in the economy (army, police, fire, infrastructure, schools, poor-assistance). But the Democrats do this so poorly. Conservatives should advocate better government, not just limited government. They come off as leave the poor to die and the children to be ignorant. A perfect example; the GOP should put education reform (charters, vouchers, ending the UFT and NEA) as it's flagship program. Instead, nary a peep from McCain ... who cares about a few meetings and associations with Ayers?
